Frequently Asked Questions
How can we pick some Veggies?!
Picking Dates are announced a few days in advance.
Picks are one hour long. You can choose when you want to pick, and please try to be in the checkout line fifteen minutes after your slot closes.
Check our social media sites where we will announce the next pick dates. You may not book a spot through email or social media messages - all scheduling is handled through our scheduling website.
We use a reservation system, and limit the number for each slot based on the availability of ripe fruits and vegetables. The hope is to keep lines short, have plenty to pick, and ensure our guests receive the personal attention they deserve.
Admission:
$5 per family (Maximum of 4, children under 3 are free), additional members are $1.
This fee covers the first $5 (or total fee) of any produce bought.
The farm is not open to the general public, and please do not “stop by.” We’re not trying to be unneighborly - just need to ensure all are safe, secure, and get ready for the next harvest day.
To respect those who made a reservation, we do not permit Walk-Ins during harvest days.
It will vary over the season! There is no guarantee of produce availability or quantity from day to day, particularly for the last picking time of the day. We do our best to target the right number of pickers for the right amount of produce.
We take credit cards, but they do have processing fees. Cash is always welcome.
Sorry, for food and guest safety, no pets are allowed at the farm. As of May 2026, the farm does not have livestock or pets. However, we do claim the cows across the street as ours…
We have potty that is serviced weekly.

How does it all work?
When you arrive, you’ll check in, get a picking basket (if needed and/or available). We'll talk about what's good to pick that day and how to do it. Then you can head into the rows to make memories harvesting beautiful produce with your family. When you're done, tag us in a selfie with your haul of veggies, check you out, and let you enjoy the rest of your day.
Can I just wander by one day?

Do I have to bring cash, or do you take credit cards?

What should I bring and wear?
Of course we would love to see smiles and hear laughter! Also, some items below may be useful:
“Farm” shoes
We try to keep any standing water and mud to a minimum, and remember you are going to a working vegetable farm! The picking area is almost completely flat, so no mountaineering gear is needed…
Harvest gloves
Tomato and pepper plants are thornless, however some may get irritated skin by touching the leaves and stems as they pick.
Clothing
With irritation a possibility, maybe a long sleeved shirt? Hats for the sun, and rain gear for when the sun goes away? “Sunday best” clothes for picking may be a big risk. We find most children show their best picking appreciation by bringing some of the farm home on their clothes!
Harvest Tools
Due to the risk of tilling up lost tools for next season, we will not have harvest tools available. We don’t think one needs a harvest (think cutting) tool for our produce. However, we do not prevent them from being brought.
Things to consider:
Will someone (mainly me) get hurt?
Will others get hurt?
Do I want to spend time looking for a lost tool?
Harvest baskets/bags
Feel free to bring your favorite harvest basket! We will have limited baskets for use.
Will there be bugs??
You will see a few bugs, many of which are beneficial! Mosquitos can be present. We treat for ticks in early spring, and keep grass low in the picking and surrounding area. We recommend using insect repellant.Bees and Wasps
Bees tend to be near when there are blooms, and they may be present. They are busy getting food, and will not normally bother you. If there is one near, just give space and they will quickly move on to another flower.
Wasps! These little guys are a bit different and we recommend staying clear. Not all wasps are stinging, but we consider them all unfriendly just to be safe. If you notice quite a few in an area let us know. We can see if we need to deal with a nest.
